Renata case study

I found Salad Money through an email from a partner website. Salad were a good fit for me as my credit score was so poor due to problems with a Cowboy Builder. I am in a Debt Management Plan because of this, which I do have to maintain payments for. I always pay my mortgage and I have been employed for 14 years, so felt that Salad Money’s way of making a decision would work for me. I needed the loan because of a mould issue that the council wouldn't sort out - and also my eldest daughter was starting secondary school and needed uniform etc.

I researched Salad Money and found the reviews were excellent - especially Trust Pilot, which really reassured me. When I applied, I added the account I use for my elderly father who I look after. I couldn't remember my main account, and so I was declined - but thought I’d call for help. I was very impressed with the service i got on the phone - I thought Salad Money were quick to help and very professional. Open Banking didn't worry me as I’d done research into it. The benefits calculator was so helpful, and I discovered there are a few things I can do. I feel very lucky to find such a professional company within borrowing.
